...in 1975 while on a six-week driving vacation throughout the West. Stayed at the Westward Ho for about $9.00 per night. Yeah, it was cheap back then also. I won $1400 in two hours playing $1 single-deck blackjack at the old MGM (now Ballys)- then went straight to a Western Union office and wired it home to myself. So I left Vegas a winner!
