To Kill a Mockingbird is my all-time favorite book. Cliche, I know, but it's the truth.

1988. My friend Roxanne and I drove from San Francisco (well, I drove) in mid-August with no air conditioning. We were supposed to go to the Grand Canyon, but every morning we woke up and said, "Let's stay here one more day." Need I say we never made it to the Grand Canyon?

I like to gamble. I get an adrenaline rush. I love the big hotels and I like being treated well by the casinos that appreciate my business. (I'm a pretty low roller.) I stopped drinking about five years ago, but it has not diminished the fun of a Las Vegas vacation. In fact, it's nice to wake up every day with a clear head!
