Blog Entry: I'm so excited to be going to Vegas in 9 days... Just 3 more days of work!! We're staying at the Hilton this time, because we got a great deal. It's fortunate that we get there on the last day of the BIG Star Trek Convention...the last time in the "Star Trek" Hilton. I feel very lucky to get to experience the Experience one last time. We've gone to LV twice before 2002, and 2004. And always went to Quark's and rode the rides while I still had my flying drugs in me. We're kinda geeks, so getting to go to the last day of the con is great for us! We'll most likely stay in the Hilton the whole first day we're there. But we'll have another 3 days to explore Vegas on the monorail. We bought 3 - 24 hour passes. Back in 2004, we had bought the tickets for the monorail, but they had to delay a full opening, so we never got to ride it. I'm hoping to visit the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay, the Carnaval Court in Harrah's (maybe for a glimpse of Purple Reign), the new Planet Hollywood, and to see what has happened to the Luxor, since our 1st trip in 2002, the first hotel we stayed at. Looking forward to seeing the Bellagio Fountain show at night, and to exploring places we've never explored (i.e. the Sahara, Flamingo, MGM). We have a small budet for gambling, but hopefully due to our 13th anniversary being the reason for the LV trip, we get lucky! I love playing VP, roulette, slots and the occasional BJ. We love to rack up the free drinks at the Pai Gow tables! Looking into learning to play Baccarat. Hope this trip is great! We've both needed to get outta Seattle for some time!
