What is the weather like there? Temperatures can vary greatly at the South Rim depending on the season. Summers are usually moderate and highs tend to be in the 80s on the rim. Spring and fall are a bit chillier with highs in the 50s to low 70s. Since the South Rim is more than 7,000 feet above sea level, it does snow in the winter (i.e., from November through February).
