Well, after a week of really nice spring weather here in MA, it's all over. I woke up to about 8 inches of snow! It was really pretty to look at but with a bad back I'm not much good with the shoveling. So I have to wait for help to get the driveway and stuff cleaned off. I enjoy winter but I'm already tired with the snow. Dec. was a tough month - lots of snow. I usually love it but I'm pretty much in a funk with my back. I HATE not being able to do the stuff that I used to be able to do. Having to count on other people to do what I should be doing drives me crazy!!
My doctor wants me to have back surgery but I'm going to try acupuncture and I've gone to Bikram Yoga twice now. That type of Yoga kicks your ass. If you like to work out and sweat then you should try it. It's 90 mins. long and the room is heated to 110 degrees!! The workout is very intense but you can go at your own pace. I already think it has helped with my back. The first day I could barely move but after my second class, I really felt better and for 2 mins. I didn't have any back pain!! 2 Mins might not be long for some people but if you are always in pain - two mins. feels great!!
