I'm easily amused... ask anyone who knows me. Especially when it comes to stupid humor. The small things that people do impresses me the most. Right now I get a daily dose of the small things and I'm grateful to have someone in my life that cares enough to do them.
I'm originally from Rhode Island but grew up in San Diego. I consider myself a San Diegan but have a deep attachment to my East Coast roots. I spent 20 years of my adult life living in South Kingstown RI. That's where I raised my kids but once my daughter graduated High School I made a quick exit back to San Diego. I've been back in San Diego now for 5 years and I wouldn't live anywhere else. I still drive around the city thinking how lucky I am to be living here.
Favorite Music/Bands/Singers/Shows/Acts
I'm a BIG reggae fan. (One Love) In contrast, my favorite band is Radiohead. Of course Led Zeppelin tops the list too. Other bands... White Stripes, Modest Mouse, The Strokes, Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, U2, Incubus, Pearl Jam... and the list goes on and on.
I saw Cirque de Soleil once but not at a Vegas venue. I'm hoping to see at least one of them at some point, I don't really care which one.
Favorite Movies/TV/Internet Video
The Office, Project Runway, Top Chef, What Not to Wear and... Oh yeah, JEOPARDY!
Breakfast at Tiffany's, Office Space, A Christmas Story, High Fidelity ( and pretty much every other John Cusack Movie) Little Miss Sunshine, All six episodes of Star Wars, Pulp Fiction, and the list goes on.
Favorite Books/Manuals/Maps/Guides
I love to read so I have many favorite books. My favorite author is Toni Morrison and her book "Song of Solomon" is my all time favorite read. If I like a book, it's not uncommon for me to read it more than once.
May of 2006. Never again will I hear "what do you mean you've never been to Vegas?!" Call me crazy but my favorite part of my first trip was the pool cabana at the Flamingo. I didn't gamble at all on that trip, not even slots. Oh well. My impression of Vegas on that first trip is much different than my impression now that I've experienced it with a veteran. After my first trip, I couldn't care less if I ever went again. Now I look forward to the adventure.
What I Like Most About Las Vegas Is...
What's not to like? Anything anyone could possibly want to do (well almost) is here and waiting. For me personally, and maybe this is a bit corny, but my favorite thing about Vegas is being there with Mike.
