Thats ok , I understand . I love going to the meets . I did talk to DC , I posted in the las vegas cabs thread. Thanks for the note and I hope you had a lot of fun here. :)
I almost forgot. If you are getting a regular room, ask for the new tower or just ask to face the strip. The daytime view is amazing. You can see from the Stratosphere to Mandalay Bay. The nightime view is not as good, since all the lights are behind the buildings you are looking at.
Danasguy - Congrats on the trip and the brides 50th. If you haven't been to Orleans before, I don't think they will give you any kind of upgrade. My offers have been a result of previous play at Orleans and Stardust. But...if you have played there before (or even if you haven't) I'd try calling a host and telling them it is a special birthday. All they can say is no. I'll be staying in an suite for the first time in December.
Let me also recommend a nice meal at Canal Street. If you are into fancy dining, Canal Street will satisfy. It is dark and fancy looking. I also recommend the Prime Rib Loft for great steaks and prime rib. If you like clam chowder - Big Al's Oyster Bar is excellent.
