RESTAURANT REPORT

Mermaid's Casino lounge, 32 Fremont St., received 14 demerits March 3. Violations included a quart of milk in reach-in cooler had expired date. GRADE: B

Original Pancake House, Green Valley Ranch, 2300 Paseo Verde Drive, Henderson, received 40 demerits March 5. Violations included food held at improper temperatures. GRADE: C

Sidewalk Cafe, Bally's, 3645 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 17 demerits March 5. Violations included no thermometer available in prep table refrigerator. GRADE: B

McFadden's Restaurant & Saloon, bar, Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, received 19 demerits March 12. Violations included employee did not wash hands between changing tasks. GRADE: B

McFadden's Restaurant & Saloon, restaurant, Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, received 26 demerits March 12. Violations included food not cooled by approved methods. GRADE: C

Poker Palace main bar, 2757 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas, received 15 demerits March 12. Violations included expired milk. GRADE: B

Subway, Palace Station, 2411 W. Sahara Ave., received 17 demerits March 10. Violations included employee did not follow proper hand-washing procedures. GRADE: B



The following restaurants have been reinspected:

Dan Marino's restaurant, Hooters Hotel, 115 E. Tropicana Ave., received four demerits March 4 and was upgraded to an A.

Fitzgeralds casino bar, 301 Fremont St., received two demerits Feb. 24 and was upgraded to an A.

Fitzgeralds service bar, 301 Fremont St., received four demerits March 3 and was upgraded to an A.

Gold Coast buffet prep kitchen, 4000 W. Flamingo Road, received 10 demerits Feb. 27 and was upgraded to an A.

Il Mulino New York restaurant, Forum Shops at Caesars, 3500 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received two demerits March 4 and was upgraded to an A.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Fitzgeralds, 301 Fremont St., received three demerits Feb. 24 and was upgraded to an A.

Rick's Cafe front kitchen, Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort, 101 Montelago Blvd., Henderson, received zero demerits Feb. 24 and was upgraded to an A.

Shamrock Coffee Shop, Fitzgeralds, 301 Fremont St., received five demerits March 3 and was upgraded to an A.

Sunset Station bingo snack bar, 1301 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, received zero demerits Feb. 25 and was upgraded to an A.

Vue Bar, Fitzgeralds, 301 Fremont St., received three demerits Feb. 25 and was upgraded to an A.

Hamada's Asiana kitchen, Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, received six demerits March 10 and was upgraded to an A.

Mermaid's Casino lounge, 32 Fremont St., received one demerit March 3 and was upgraded to an A.

WHAT IT MEANS

The Southern Nevada Health District conducts random inspections of local restaurants. An establishment receives an A grade if it has received no more than 10 demerits. A B grade is given to those establishments that receive 11 to 20 demerits, and a C grade is given to any establishment that receives 21 to 40 demerits. If an establishment receives more than 40 demerits, it is closed immediately. The grades are posted at the time of the inspection. The establishment has the option of requesting a reinspection before its next scheduled inspection.
