April 12, 1996. Five friends and I stayed at the Royal Hotel & Casino (not the Royale next to Harrah's, but the one towards the north strip area) because we didn't know better. I knew the minute I got off the plane that I didn't think I'd ever want to go anywhere else for vacation. The trip was topped off the last night when I got to meet Drew Carey at the Riviera after a 6 hour Sigma Derby marathon. Oh the memories.

Las Vegas is the ultimate adult playground. I love the fact that it is 24/7 and it's always full of surprises as you never know who you are going to meet or see on any given day. It's a place where I can get away from the everyday rigors of life and for a short time be someone I am not at home.
